Objectives & Functions

• Facilitate establishment, expansion, modernization and formalization of MSMEs in Maharashtra.
• Promote awareness and access to State and Central Government schemes, incentives and support programmes.
• Coordinate with District Industries Centres and relevant agencies for enterprise facilitation and implementation support.
• Promote credit linkage, collateral-free finance, equity support and delayed-payment resolution.
• Encourage quality certification, Lean practices, energy efficiency, cleaner production, innovation, design and intellectual-property protection.
• Support market access through Government procurement, e-commerce, exhibitions, buyer-seller meets, export facilitation and digital platforms.
• Strengthen entrepreneurship development, skill development, incubation and enterprise handholding.
• Facilitate inclusive entrepreneurship for women, SC/ST communities, artisans, rural entrepreneurs and other priority groups.
• Provide transparent information, trackable grievance redressal and data-driven monitoring of programmes.
• Coordinate with Government departments, financial institutions, industry bodies, academic institutions and technical agencies for MSME development.
