    MSME Trade Enablement and Marketing Initiative (MSME-TEAM)

    Purpose:

    MSME-TEAM supports the onboarding of eligible Udyam-registered Micro and Small Enterprises onto ONDC-based digital commerce. It provides assistance for digital storefronts, product cataloguing, branding, online selling, logistics, payments, digital marketing and market access. The initiative targets approximately five lakh MSEs, with 50% of the beneficiaries intended to be women-owned enterprises.

    Primary Benefit

    Free ONDC onboarding, digital storefront and catalogue support, branding, logistics and payment assistance, digital-marketing training and handholding for eligible MSEs.

    Key documents:

    The registration process requires or captures details relating to the Udyam Registration Number, Udyam-linked mobile number, constitution of the enterprise, business model, product category, B2B category where applicable, digital-device availability, product catalogue availability and bank-account information for incentive processing. Additional declarations or supporting records may be requested during verification or ONDC onboarding.

    What is MSME-TEAM?

    It is an initiative of the Ministry of MSME that enables MSEs to participate in digital commerce through ONDC.

    Who can register?

    Eligible Micro and Small Enterprises with valid Udyam Registration.

    Is registration free?

    Yes, registration under the initiative is free.

    Can a Medium Enterprise receive incentives?

    Generally, incentives are intended for Micro and Small Enterprises, subject to the specified transition provision for enterprises recently reclassified as Medium.

    Are workshops compulsory?

    Awareness workshops are optional but recommended.

    What support is available?

    ONDC onboarding, cataloguing, digital storefronts, logistics, packaging, digital marketing, account management and market-access support.

    What is the scheme period?

    The initiative runs for three years from FY 2024–25 to FY 2026–27.

    Beneficiary:

    Eligibility • The enterprise must possess a valid Udyam Registration. • Incentive benefits are primarily available to Micro and Small Enterprises. • The enterprise should not already be registered as a seller on ONDC. • The enterprise should not have availed benefits under a similar ONDC initiative of another government entity, based on self-declaration. • Eligible manufacturing and service-sector MSEs may participate. • Enterprises recently reclassified from Small to Medium may claim eligible benefits for the prescribed transition period, subject to programme conditions.

    How To Apply

    1. Open the MSME-TEAM registration portal.
    2. Enter the Udyam Registration Number.
    3. Enter the mobile number linked with the Udyam Registration.
    4. Verify the enterprise details fetched from the Udyam record.
    5. Complete the required business, product, category and digital-readiness information.
    6. Provide bank-account information for incentive processing, where applicable.
    7. Upload or submit the prescribed information and declarations.
    8. Complete verification and select or connect with an eligible ONDC Network Participant.
    9. Receive onboarding, catalogue, account-management, logistics and training support.
