Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI)
Purpose:
SFURTI organises traditional artisans and producers into clusters to improve production, value addition, product quality, competitiveness, sustainable employment and income. It supports physical infrastructure, upgraded machinery, skill development, design, packaging, marketing and e-commerce.

Who receives assistance?
Traditional-industry clusters and their artisans through approved Nodal and Implementing Agencies.
Can an individual artisan apply directly for the entire cluster grant?
No. The proposal is normally submitted through an eligible agency for the benefit of an organised cluster.
What is the maximum assistance?
Up to ₹2.5 crore for clusters with up to 500 artisans and up to ₹5 crore for clusters with more than 500 artisans.
What are soft interventions?
Skill development, exposure visits, design, buyer-seller meets, marketing, e-commerce and similar activities.
Is machinery supported?
Yes. Common machinery, tools, equipment and production facilities may be supported under approved hard interventions.
Beneficiary:
Eligibility • Clusters engaged in eligible traditional industries such as khadi, village industries and coir-related activities. • Traditional artisans, producers, craft workers, rural entrepreneurs and their collectives may be covered as beneficiaries. • Proposals are submitted through eligible Nodal Agencies and Implementing Agencies. • Eligible agencies may include government institutions, State Government agencies, organisations under the Ministry of MSME, registered institutions and other approved entities. • A cluster-level Special Purpose Vehicle or artisan collective is generally required for ownership and management of common assets.

How To Apply
1. Identify a traditional-industry cluster and the participating artisans.
2. Approach an eligible Nodal Agency or Implementing Agency.
3. Conduct a cluster diagnostic study and identify common requirements.
4. Form or identify the required cluster-level SPV or artisan collective.
5. Prepare the Detailed Project Report covering soft, hard and thematic interventions.
6. Submit the proposal through the prescribed SFURTI mechanism.
7. The proposal is appraised by the Nodal Agency and competent scheme authorities.
8. After approval, the Implementing Agency establishes the facilities and conducts the approved interventions.
