Bar Code Assistance under Procurement and Marketing Support, PMS Scheme

Purpose

Supports Micro Enterprises in adopting GS1 bar codes to improve inventory management, product traceability, retail acceptance and market access.

Udyam certificate, GS1 licence, GS1 registration/renewal receipt, payment proof, enterprise status proof, bank details, cancelled cheque and prescribed declarations.

Applicable Fee

GS1 India registration and annual subscription fees apply according to GS1’s current fee structure. Government assistance is limited to the eligible reimbursable portion.

Mode of Fee Payment

Pay GS1 India through its authorised online or banking channel. Retain the invoice, receipt and licence for the reimbursement claim.

Important Eligibility Conditions

Applicant must be an eligible Micro Enterprise with valid Udyam Registration.
The enterprise must obtain bar-code registration directly from GS1 India. Assistance covers eligible one-time registration and recurring fees for the first three years. GST, taxes and unrelated service charges are generally not reimbursable. Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India.

Time Required for Decision

No uniform period is specified. Processing depends on document verification, approval and availability of funds.
