Helps manufacturing MSMEs engage professional designers for new-product development, redesign, prototype development and value addition.

Applicable Fee

No standard registration fee is specified. The MSME contributes the balance project cost, normally 25% for Micro and 40% for Small/Medium enterprises.

Mode of Fee Payment

MSME contribution is deposited with the Implementing Agency through the prescribed banking or portal mechanism.

Time Required for Decision

No fixed period is published. Approval depends on proposal appraisal by the Project Assessment Panel and completion of required documents.

Government contribution of 75% for Micro enterprises and 60% for Small/Medium enterprises, for eligible design projects costing up to ₹40 lakh. Student-design projects also receive specified assistance.
