    Purpose:

    The MSME Competitive Lean Scheme encourages MSMEs to adopt Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques to reduce waste, enhance productivity, improve product quality, shorten lead time and increase competitiveness.

    Benefits

    • Assessment of existing manufacturing practices.

    • Support for tools such as 5S, Kaizen, visual management, standard operating procedures and value-stream mapping.
    • Recognition through progressive Lean certification levels.
    • Financial assistance for eligible consultancy and implementation costs.

    Eligibility

    • MSMEs registered on the Udyam Registration portal.
    • The scheme primarily supports manufacturing-sector MSMEs.
    • Common Facility Centres under SFURTI and MSE-CDP may also participate.
    • Participation is voluntary.

    How to apply:

    lean.msme.gov.in

    1. Visit the MSME Competitive Lean portal.
    2. Select registration for MSMEs.
    3. Enter the Udyam Registration Number and associated mobile number.
    4. Complete OTP verification.
    5. Read and accept the Lean Pledge and undertaking.
    6. Complete the enterprise profile and submit the application.
    7. Participate in the prescribed assessment, training and implementation stages.

    Is Lean Certification compulsory?

    No. Participation is voluntary.
