    Purpose:

    PM Vishwakarma provides end-to-end support to traditional artisans and craftspeople engaged in family-based, hand-and-tool occupations. It supports skill development, modern toolkits, affordable credit, digital transactions, recognition, branding and market linkages.

    Branding and market-linkage support, along with skill training, toolkit incentive, concessional collateral-free credit and digital-transaction incentives.

    Beneficiary:

    • Artisan or craftsperson working with hands and tools in one of the 18 trades covered under the scheme. • Minimum age of 18 years on the date of registration. • Applicant should be engaged in the relevant trade on a self-employment basis. • Only one member from a family may register, subject to scheme guidelines. • Government employees and their family members are not eligible. • Other credit-linked scheme restrictions apply as prescribed in the official guidelines.

    • Recognition through PM Vishwakarma Certificate and ID Card. • Basic and advanced skill training with stipend support. • Toolkit incentive up to ₹15,000. • First collateral-free enterprise-development loan up to ₹1 lakh. • Second loan up to ₹2 lakh at a concessional interest rate. • Incentive for eligible digital transactions. • Branding, quality certification and market-linkage support.

    How To Apply

    1. Visit the nearest Common Service Centre.
    2. Provide Aadhaar and complete biometric authentication.
    3. Enter personal, family, occupation and bank information.
    4. Select the applicable traditional trade.
    5. Submit the application through the PM Vishwakarma portal.
    6. The application passes through local-body, district and screening verification.
    7. After approval, the beneficiary may access training and other eligible scheme components.
