Revised Seed Money Scheme (SMS)
Purpose:
A Maharashtra self-employment scheme that provides seed-money or margin-money assistance to help eligible unemployed persons raise institutional finance for viable industry, service or business projects.
Objective:
To bridge the promoter-contribution gap, improve credit access and encourage educated unemployed persons to establish viable self-employment ventures.

Beneficiary:
Eligible unemployed applicants satisfying the prescribed age, domicile, education, income, project-cost and activity conditions. Financing-bank appraisal and compliance with scheme ceilings are required.
Benefits:
Soft seed-money assistance toward the promoter’s margin for a bank-financed project, repayable or adjustable according to the notified terms, along with the balance project finance from the bank and beneficiary contribution.
How To Apply
Procedure:
1. Obtain the prescribed application from DIC.
2. Prepare project report for an eligible industry, service, trade or vehicle activity.
3. Attach age, education, Maharashtra residence, category and project documents.
4. Submit to DIC for scrutiny and bank linkage.
5. Complete bank/financial institution appraisal and sanction.
6. Execute seed-money loan documents and comply with repayment conditions.
Required Documents: Application, Aadhaar/PAN, domicile, age and education proof, income/category certificate where applicable, project report, quotations, bank documents, premises proof, proposed registrations/licences and declarations on prior assistance.
