Any person intending to carry on the business of selling lubricating oils or greases must obtain the prescribed licence. The applicant must submit the prescribed application to the Directorate of Industries, concerned DIC, or Joint Director’s office, as applicable. Documents generally include business constitution and address proof, details of proprietor/partners/directors, premises and storage details, storage licence where applicable, dealership or source-of-supply evidence, latest purchase bills from authorised oil companies, and the previous licence for renewal.
